Early Warning & Correction Project

                                             A Project of RIPORT.

About Us:

When the military operation started in Malakand division and Fata, millions of inhabitants fled their homes to a safer place. Today an approximate 3.5 million inhabitants have become IDPs and they are mostly now scattered amongst the districts of Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Charsadda, Peshawar and Kohat.

The international community has committed to support Pakistan and resources both national and international have begun reaching Pakistan to help the IDPs. Because of the ever increasing responsibility to ensure that assistance reaches the deserving and there are no major governance or distribution issues it has thus been found necessary to set up an early warning and correction system. It is meant to solve the problems faced in the distribution and the supply chain and not to act as the policeman. The project conceives itself as a facilitator between the IDPs and the various service providers as well as a repository of IDP perceptions which will be used for making the relief system better.
